It's an ongoing series of articles
(see list below) appearing in
Tolland Monthly published by Horizons Media & Publishing! The articles are my reflections on life on our planet, written to provoke your thinking and creativity. As you’ll see from the first article, while having breakfast in New Delhi, India, I noticed that most of the westerners were eating a typical western breakfast and avoiding the eastern foods on the buffet.
That simple act of eating a meal, showed our reluctance as humans to move outside our comfort zone. Our comfort zone, what we know and what we like, builds a stronghold around us that restricts our thinking and creativity. It blinds us to the gifts, the strengths, and the uniqueness of others…and us. It causes us to interpret intentions and judge actions.
I started my company to help people learn to think differently, to be more creative, and to see new possibilities. I wanted to equip people to think first, not judge first. The heart of all thinking, creativity, and innovation is suspended judgment.
I began to find examples in my travels. My intent is to not only tell you stories about my travels but also to give you some questions to change the way you think. Questions are powerful tools that provoke our thinking in ways that statements will not. Questions are simple tools that open our minds to new possibilities. Questions are practical tools that help us release our creativity and innovation.
These articles will invite you to reflect on how you think. And for a first question, ask yourself, “
What do I plan to do now to make tomorrow different from yesterday?”
